SO, WHAT'S WITH THE FEATHER?

Well, if you really want to dive into the history of the name Fletcher, it is a surname of English origin. The name is an occupational name for an arrowsmith or seller of arrows, derived from the Middle English, Old English "Fulcher" or Old French flech(i)er (in turn from Old French fleche "arrow").

Fletching is the fin-shaped aerodynamic stabilization device attached on arrows, crossbow bolts or darts, typically made from light, semi-flexible materials such as feathers. Each piece of such fin is a fletch, also known as a flight or feather.

PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN

...is usually what I say to those I'm capturing footage of.

Hi. I'm Stephanie. Owner/videographer/editor of Fletcher Media, Wisconsinite, feminist, artist, traveler, and obsessor of dogs.

As mentioned on my homepage, I'm just someone who is living out a family name and utilizing my genes and talents of working behind a camera in my every day life. My love for filmmaking and storytelling began in 4th grade when my friends and I decided to document our lives while growing up. Little did we know that decades later, we were capturing memories that would last a lifetime.

I continued on with that love by receiving my degree in communication arts with a focus in radio, TV, and film from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. My experience during undergrad gave me a taste of all aspects of documenting and storytelling, but I was captivated in 2015 when I filmed my first wedding. I never imagined that this one wedding would lead to so many more and starting a business out of it.

At Fletcher Media, we believe that everyone deserves to have their wedding documented on video so they can reminisce for decades to come. Let us help you capture those priceless moments and memories.
